Within a month
of the date I was born,
the Nobel Prize for Physics
went to Born and Bothe –
it seems the committee was torn as to
whose breakthrough they would thus adorn.
The world into which I was delivered was
just discovering certitude wrong.
Absolute exactness clearly quivered.
Uncertain dualism came on strong.
The paradigm shift from these incidents gives
me a giddy sense of the sublime. Unsure,
I claim that no coincidence caused me to be
conceived at this same time.
A world of unqualified certainty could
not provide the wiggle room for me.
