AGE OF THE UNIVERSE

Indulging in lots of dark energy,

she begins to grow detached and aloof.

Though parts of her are still quite attractive,

she’s expanded substantially since youth,

no longer can touch her extremities

and has lost some of her former sparkle.

She remembers when she was much hotter –

a “bombshell” that was beyond atomic –

energetic to the point of chaos.

She’s cooled off a lot since those early days.

Nowadays, her brilliance comes in flashes

and requires concentrating effort,

but she can still surprisingly dazzle

through the gravity of her condition.

She still retains alluring mystery

and an electric, magnetic appeal.
