SCIENTIFIC METHOD
When
we
set out
to really
understand the world,
we must bring keen observation
to bear upon the facts and reluctance to assume
a hypothesis is correct until proven repeatedly through experiment.
We must also abandon all our preconceptions,
eliminate unrelated,
stray variables
and prepare
to face
the
truth.
1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 13, 8, 5, 3, 2, 1, 1 is the syllable count for this reversing fibonacci. The first half, listing what a scientific researcher must bring along, grows to 21 syllables, and the diminishing second half lists what must be forsaken.
That’s a really cool way to structure a poem!
