The International Astronomical Union’s Ruling
Consider the new rules for planets that
lessened our number of planets to eight,
demoting Pluto, due to new format
about how a planet must astrogate.
Though Pluto has enough mass to be round,
and orbits uniquely about our Sun,
it fails (as its path has “clutter” around)
at planetary qualification.

For Neptune, this requirement was waived,
obviously, since its path is not cleared
yet its planetary status was saved,
though Pluto crosses its orbital … weird.

It’s their own rules they don’t rely upon.
They say size doesn’t matter, but c’mon.
