Baby picture of the universe

The Baby Picture of the Universe is an image taken from more than 13 billion light years away of the Universe that was less than a million light years across.  How have we managed to “step back” to take such a picture?  Time and expansion of the Universe.

Everywhere in the Universe this is a special time, in which all have such a privileged view.  Look up and appreciate that both the stars and the origin of the Universe will never be closer than they are tonight.
